Six Ways Color Can Influence Your Mood

March 30, 2023 by Carol S Leave a Comment

Which shade of blue is most calming to you?

Are you trying to decide which color to paint your interior walls or your home? Colors can definitely influence how you’re feeling. If you’ve ever been inside a home that felt uncomfortable to you, it might’ve been because the color or shade of color unnerved you. We’ve written about our favorite colors of the year before: Ten Best Colors of the Year 2023.

Blue has a calming effect

Blue is known to have a calming and soothing effect on the mind and body. It can help reduce stress and anxiety and promote feelings of peace and tranquility. And in nature, of course, the color blue reminds of us of the sea and the sky. There are many shades of blue–light shades of blue tend to calm the mind and aid in focus. Stronger shades of blue can be stimulating. Many brands love to use the color blue (including us, if you’ve seen our logo), and blue can denote trustworthiness.

Green is calming and balancing

Green is associated with nature and is often associated with feelings of calmness, balance and harmony. It can also improve focus and concentration. Green can remind you of growth and springtime. There is also a certain security associated with green. Maybe that’s why most money is green? This study on the color green from the National Library of Medicine asserts that “Study 1 revealed that walking in a green environment induced a significant reduction in heart rate values as compared to the red and white conditions although no differences in gait speed were found. This corroborates the calming and relaxing effect of green on the human organism.”

Yellow works well for kitchen walls

Yellow is a happy color

Yellow is known to evoke feelings of happiness, joy, and optimism. It can also help improve mood and energy levels. In the springtime, yellow reminds us of daffodils and of course sunshine. Yellow is especially good for kitchen walls, although HGTV outlines other colors you can use in their article Best Colors to Paint a Kitchen.

Red is for passion and excitement

Red is a powerful color that is associated with energy, passion and excitement. It can also increase heart rate and blood pressure and create feelings of anxiety. Think about where you see the color red in your daily life–stop signs, am i right? And the phrase “seeing red” means being angry! You wave a red flag in front of a bull, and red is the color of blood. This fascinating article from Google Arts and Culture begins, The Secret History of the Color Red “Did you know that red is the first color that humans perceive, after black and white? It’s the color that babies see first before any other, and the first that those suffering from temporary color blindness after a brain injury start to see again.”

Purple is associated with luxury, creativity, and wisdom

Purple can also evoke feelings of calmness and serenity. Lighter shades of purple are associated with romantic energies, while darker shades can bring on sadness. Purple flowers are often uplifting and fragrant, which can make you happy–unless you’re allergic!

Which color is best for you? It depends!

It’s important to note that color perception and associations are personal and cultural, so the effects of colors on mood may vary from person to person. Also, colors can have different meanings and evoke different emotions depending on the context and the combination of colors used.

Is Window Film Good for Privacy?

March 13, 2023 by Carol S Leave a Comment

Yes, window film can be used for privacy. It can be applied to glass surfaces to obscure the view into a space, while still allowing light to pass through. There are different types of privacy window film available, such as frosted or tinted film, and they can be used in both residential and commercial settings. Here are some things you might not have considered when considering window film for privacy.

Is Window Film Good for Privacy?

Window film doesn’t clutter up your space

If you’re living in a small space, or are thinking about window film for an awkward room, window film won’t add to your clutter. You could put curtains on your window, but curtains will collect dust and require more maintenance than window film. Plus, you can actually use window film as part of your decor, since films come in different colors and can add to the look of your space.

Window film has a clean look

If you’re a minimalist, or even if you’re not, window film doesn’t even show. In fact, the great thing about window film is you don’t usually know it’s there! Unless you do it yourself and/or there are lots of bubbles or peeling. In which case, maybe consider hiring a pro! We know someone great! lol

How about window film for a balcony?

Are you tired of people on the street staring into your balcony? Use window film to block or partially block the view into your place. We wrote about using window film for patios and balconies before. Take a look! After all, many homes in the San Francisco Bay Area, are short on space, so it’s important that you have privacy.

If you can see your neighbor, they can see you, too!

Add privacy window film for a dentist’s office

We just chose dentist’s office because our dentist uses window film for privacy. But there’s really no limit to the places where window film could add privacy. For instance, we’ve seen it used as airports where people are charging their devices. And the added benefit is that it doesn’t require much in terms of permits, drawings, etc. We can even help you choose the perfect window film for your space.

You can choose a light window film

You don’t need to have a dark window film to get privacy, which goes against what some people believe. We’re not saying you’re “some people,” but you never know.

What’s the best privacy film?

We’re very fond of 3M Fasara window film. And you can read more about 3M Fasara window film in a series we wrote in the not-too-distant past. Many types are decorative, so you can have your privacy and beauty as well. It’s like having your cake and eating it, too!

Ten Best Uses of Window Film for Your Business

February 27, 2023 by Carol S Leave a Comment

Ten Best Uses of Window Film for Your Business

Yes, we realize that many of the ideas here are very similar, if not identical, to the ten best uses of window film for your home. You might want to read that post, too. However, there are some different reasons to use window film for your business, which we’ve outlined here.

Energy efficiency

Window film can help reduce heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer, resulting in lower energy bills for your business. When the weather turns hot in the summer, window film can block as much as 66% of the sun’s heat. And sometimes heat can make you feel very, very tired. In fact, some people might need a nap–not always a good idea when you’re at work unless you have a nap room!

UV protection

Window film can block up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting your business’s interior from fading and damage. If you have a retail business, your inventory could be harmed by fading. For instance, clothing can be harmed by the sun’s damaging rays. How can you sell clothing that’s damaged or faded?

Branding and advertising

Window film can be used to display your business’s logo or other branding elements, increasing visibility and promoting your brand. Logos can be reproduced in different sizes and on different surfaces as well. If you want your business to be remembered, why not have your logo displayed?

Privacy

Window film can be used to create a frosted or opaque effect on windows, increasing privacy in conference rooms and other areas. If you have a dentist’s office, for example, you don’t really want to see other patients getting their teeth cleaned. Do you?

Safety and security

Some window films can help hold broken glass together in the event of an accident, providing an added layer of security for your business. This is especially useful in restaurants where broken shards could be a huge liability. Actually, with climate change, the risk of broken glass has become greater. Read our article about the polar vortex here: How to punch the polar vortex in the nose with window film.

Decorative

Window film can be used to create a decorative effect on windows, such as a frosted or etched glass look, which can enhance the aesthetic of your business. Some of our local restaurants have used window film with bamboo or other beautiful decorative elements. We like this article: 12 Surprising Design Uses for Window Film and Appliques from This Old House. Take a look!

Glare reduction

Window film can reduce glare on computer and other screens, making them easier to see, which can increase productivity. Have you ever seen employees trying to work inside, and wearing sunglasses? We have!

Heat rejection

Window film can reject heat, keeping the temperature inside the room comfortable, which can improve the comfort of employees and customers. If you have a brick-and-mortar store, you want those customers to be comfortable!

Reducing fading

Window film can help protect carpets, furniture, and artworks from fading by blocking UV rays, which can save on replacement costs.

Cost-effective

Window film is a cost-effective way to improve the energy efficiency and appearance of your business’s windows without the need for costly window replacements.

Got Questions?

Eight Reasons to Hire Us to Install Your Window Film

February 15, 2023 by Carol S Leave a Comment

Eight Reasons to Hire Us to Install Your Window Film

You’ve been looking around trying to figure out who in the world could install your window film. You’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, and your cousin says they can put in your window film. But have you seen what they did to their own car? C’mon now–you need a professional. Here are just a few of the reasons to hire us to install your window film. We also like this article: Why You Should Hire a Pro to Install Window Film.

Experience and Expertise

Professional window film installers have the experience and expertise to properly install the film, ensuring that it adheres correctly to the window and that there are no bubbles or wrinkles. We won’t leave the work site because cousin Vinnie stopped by with a few cold ones or get distracted by our cell phones.

Proper Tools and Equipment

Have you ever started a DIY project, gone out to get all the tools, then realized that you could’ve just hired someone to do the job for you? Not too mention there goes your weekend! Professional window film installers have the proper tools and equipment to install window film, including specialized knives, heat guns, and other tools that ensure a smooth, wrinkle-free installation.

Guaranteed Work

Professional window film installers will typically guarantee their work and will fix any issues that may arise after the installation. We want you to be happy.

Time-saving

Window Works USA can complete the installation quickly and efficiently, saving you time and allowing you to use your space as soon as possible. You can help us by preparing your space, moving things out of the way, etc. But other than that, we do the work.

Save on costs

Hiring professionals can save you money in the long run, as they can identify potential issues and areas where film is needed, and can apply the film correctly to ensure that it lasts as long as it should. We don’t do “just ok” work–we take the time and have the patience to do the job right.

Warranty

Professional window film installers (like us) will typically offer a warranty on work, providing peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong with the film, we will fix it for you. Window Works has a one year Commercial Construction Warranty, which is a Standard Materials/Labor Warranty that is only used for Commercial Construction jobs.  3M (we’re a 3M dealer) provides their own Window Film Warranty which varies depending on the type of film installed, and is up to seven years, depending the installation. Again, we want you to be happy.

Customization

Window Works offers a wide range of customization options, such as different colors, shades, and designs, that can be tailored to your specific needs and preferences. We’re more than happy to give you suggestions based on your tastes. We may think of something you hadn’t occurred to you! Did you read our previous article Ten Best Ways Uses of Window Film for Your Home?

Compliance with local codes and regulations

Did you know that you can actually install Security Film to bring buildings up to code?! And using 3M window films to bring buildings up code can be up to seven times less expensive than installing new windows!

Building code may specify that glass in certain hazardous locations, such as glazing near wet surfaces, doors, floors, ramps and stairs meet certain safety glazing requirements. 3M™ Safety
Windows Films & Attachment Systems can help you quickly and easily meet safety glazing impact requirements at a fraction of the cost of replacing windows. According to 16 CFR 1201 Safety Standard for Architectural Glazing Materials. Local building codes vary, consult a local code official for
requirements and approval criteria.

Ten Best Uses of Window Film for Your Home

January 29, 2023 by Carol S Leave a Comment

You might not realize how many uses there are for window film and here are ten (actually eleven!) of the best uses for your home. There’s even a bonus best use of window film! Hint: it has to do with dogs!

Energy Efficiency

Window film can help reduce heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer, resulting in lower energy bills. With the way all our energy bills have been going up lately, that can really help with the home budget.

Window film for privacy

Have a nosy neighbor, or simply a window that is inconveniently located? Have us install some window film! Window film can be used to create a frosted or opaque effect on windows, increasing privacy in bathrooms, bedrooms and other rooms. If you’d like to read more about window film and privacy, you might like this post: why not use window film for patio privacy?

UV protection helps prevent skin cancer

Window film can block up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting your home’s interior from fading and the sun’s damaging rays. We often say that window film is like putting sunglasses on your house. You wouldn’t go out on a sunny day without sunglasses, would you? Well, window film protects you by eliminating harmful UV rays.

Use decorative window film for interior design

There are so many beautiful window films these days, and we have many favorites. You may have a glass partition or wall that you’d like covered. Or, maybe you have an area in the bath where you’d like just a little bit of design. Window film can be used to create a decorative effect on windows, such as a stained glass or etched glass look. By the way, David Wood Window Tinting of Florida has a terrific article about decorative window tinting: 7 Beautiful Ways to Use Decorative Window Tint in Your Home. (Shower glass is one way to take advantage of window film.)

Protect against glare

Have you ever been in a store where the sun shines in so brightly that the employees have to wear sunglasses…indoors? Your home should be a place to relax, not a place where you have to worry about excess glare! Window film can also reduce glare on television and computer screens, making them easier to see. This is especially critical if you’re working from home and trying to see your screen.

Hide clutter

Remember when you saw those kitchen shelves with the glass doors and thought it was a great idea to install them? But now your life has changed, and those shelves are filled with sippy cups and mismatched mugs? Why not cover the glass doors with window film to hide some of that clutter?

Keep thieves away

If you have a foyer, like many of us do in San Francisco, where deliveries end up, you could cover the windows and doors with window film so people can’t see in. Window film eliminates the temptation. Some window films can help hold broken glass together in the event of an accident, providing an added layer of security.

Cost-effective

Window film is a cost-effective way to improve the energy efficiency and appearance of your windows. And it’s much less spendy than replacing your windows and doors. If you already have double-paned windows, window film makes your window into a triple-paned window.

Block heat

Window film can block the heat (in the trade, we call this heat rejection) when the sun beats down on your home. It can even out the heat so the temperatures are more stable. With climate change, we’ve seen so much more temperature change. Window film can reject heat, keeping the temperature inside the room comfortable and reducing the load on air-conditioners

Reduce fading

Window film can help protect carpets, furniture, and artworks from fading by blocking UV rays. Do you know someone who has pulled back the carpet to see flooring bleached from the sun? Chances are they don’t have window film.

Calms reactive dogs

Some dogs, when sitting inside all day, look out the window and what do they see? CATS!!! Also: other dogs! Then they bark. And bark. And bark and bark and bark. Soon, the neighbors are annoyed. Then the police get a call. This just annoys everyone. Plus, the poor dog loses his voice and needs throat lozenges. So use some window film so your dog can’t see out that window and get all buck nutty.

Easy to Install

Call us and we’d love to help you through choosing the best window film for your home. We work all over the greater San Francisco Bay Area, from San Jose to the East Bay to the Peninsula and Marin. Give us a call at 415.623.8700.

Five Reasons We’re Terribly Obsessed with Christmas and Christmas Trees!

December 21, 2022 by Carol S Leave a Comment

This year, the crew got together so many times that we couldn’t fit all our pictures and experiences into one blog post. You might have read our previous post Happy Holiday from the Window Works Crew! We did it again, and we’re still not “Christmassed out!” We still have a few days to go, so please celebrate along with us.

The Karaoke Before Dinner

Yes, we just keep getting better and better at karaoke. Some people would say worse, but then what aren’t those people drinking? We’re looking at you, water glass with no alcohol! After all, you had free drink tickets! Some people even took advantage of the helium in those balloons after they’d had a few! But we’ve been paid off to not include those photos. Or videos.

The Christmas Tree with the Crew Decked out in Black and Gold!

The Christmas Tree at Union Square

The Christmas tree picture taking has turned into a tradition for the Window Works crew! Do you have a tradition where you work? Or is it different every year? Union Square has the best Christmas tree and it’s surrounded by vendors, ice skating, and lots of store windows all lit up. What’s not to like?

Dinner was excellent and the food just kept on coming!

The Dinner at the Morton’s Steakhouse

Everyone ate way too much, and in fact a lot of us had to take food home or eat it as a midnight snack. After the appetizers, we had salads, steak or salmon, potatoes of many varieties, asparagus, green beans, and chocolate or cheesecake. And wine. And drinks.

Walking around downtown in our dinner duds

The Afterparty

Some of us walked around, some of us went to Persona Bar, and some of us might have gotten a little lost trying to get somewhere else. There were a lot of embarrassing photos taken, and lots of light saber type of jousting.

Black and Gold, 80s Style Meets Union Square
Who are these dressed-up warriors?

The Black and Gold Experience

The theme for this year’s party was black and gold in 80s style! And of course we always had more than a little bit of rawr (aka tiger), too!

Of course we had to include Debbie and those glasses! Whoa.

More Black and Gold

Everyone had all the best accessories, like Debbie with those crazy glasses! There were also earrings, beads, cravats (what the heck are those?), gold scarves, gloves, shiny gold shirts, and shoes.

Gratitude, again and again

Thank you everyone for hanging out with us. And special thanks to Donna for organizing everything and herding all the Christmas cats!

Happy Holidays from the Window Works Crew!

December 13, 2022 by Carol S 1 Comment

Happy Holidays from the Window Works Crew!

Here at Window Works, we have many many MANY reasons to celebrate! We celebrate birthdays, holidays, and the end of the year. We are always looking for any excuse to get together to eat, dance, and be merry. And sometimes that “be merry” part could even include some embarrassment if you know what we mean! (And we think you do!) Here are some recent photos from our parties, large and small. We have more in the works, too! Although we think about window film much of the time, there is more to us than window film.

Merry Christmas with shades of gold, blue, and silver!

Always Fashionable

Always fashionable…most of the time, anyways! We like to dress appropriately for work, which means jeans, steel-toed boots, and hard hats during the day. But when it’s party time, we just love to dress up! We even have themed parties during the year, and especially during the holidays. For some reason, many of our parties tend to include disco and karaoke. Go figure!

One corner of our office space, with our silver and blue Disco Party tree!

The disco balls, above, have mirrored sections to fit in with our Disco-themed party! Aren’t they fun? The blue lights add that extra sparkle and the silver is always welcome. Every year we have different colored trees. For instance, one year we did all pink trees: Tone-on-Tone Christmas Trees.

The Dudes of Window Works

The dudes of Window Works always manage to look cool no matter what. Here they are in a typical scenario, above. They might not look dressed up here, but just wait until we have our Christmas shindig! All the sparkle will come out then.

Hot Pot Karaoke Party

Going backwards in time to our Hot Pot Karaoke Party, here we are stuffing our faces again. There was lots of food, eating, and of course SINGING! The song titles were sometimes in other languages, so there was some confusion, but it was fun just the same!

End of October Skate Parteee

Skate and Birthday Party

Thanks to backwards skating and backwards image finding, here’s the End of October Skate Parteee at the Church of Eight Wheels! Or should I say the Church of Eight Wheeeeeeeeeels?! Here’s where the rubber really meets the road, although sometimes we fell down and met the road that way, too. We’re actually all holding each other up at this point.

Ladies wearing denim!

More Birthday Celebration!

For Donna’s birthday, we had a Diamonds and Denim party and above is a cute pic of a few of the ladies! It was so warm that day, and the ice cream cake got a little sad from the heat, but it was still yummy!

Cheers to you!

Cheers to You

Without you, our dear friends and clients, we wouldn’t have a business! So here’s to you. Clink!!! Thank you for a wonderful year, well worth celebrating, and we’ll be seeing you again next year! All our gratitude to you and best wishes for your health and well being, too!

The Best Time to Think about Window Film

November 29, 2022 by Carol S 1 Comment

The best time to think about window film is right now!

Of course, we think the best time to think about window film is right now! There’s so much you can do with window film, and the list just keeps getting longer and longer. If you didn’t already know about all these reasons to think about window film (or if you have trouble getting to sleep), here are just a few of our favorites! Recently, we wrote about Ten Ways to Use the new Japandi Interior Style at Home. You might like it–since you can also incorporate Japandi style using window film.

Protects your eyes against glare

Just like you’d use window film on your car windows, you can use window film either at your office or at home. Your eyes deserve a little rest, don’t you think? Don’t you already have enough stress in your life? We know that we do! Glare can cause headaches and give you premature wrinkles. We even know some places where employees have to wear sunglasses indoors. (Don’t do that!)

Gives you privacy

You might love your neighbors, but do they really need to see every single thing your family does at home? No, they do not! They don’t need to see what you’re eating, what you’re wearing on a particular day, or what you just bought at the Black Friday sale downtown. For that, they have Instagram! For more details about window film and privacy, see 3M’s site.

Saves your skin

The UV protection on window films filters out the UV rays that can harm your skin and protect you against skin cancer. As if the other reasons here weren’t enough, protecting your skin and health is the most important. You may also want to use a hat with a big brim and sunscreen when you’re outdoors, since you probably won’t have window film then. The Skin Cancer Foundation has all kinds of information on how to prevent skin cancer.

Decorative window films give you an edge

We’ve written about decorative window films before. Check out 3M Fasara Decorative Window Film:Dotty for Dots. There are many kinds of decorative window films and 3M is adding new ones all the time. Imagine hanging a piece of glass covered by window film, used as a divider–either at home or at your business.

Makes your neighbors jealous

Now that you can see into your neighbor’s house, but they can’t see into yours, they might be just a little bit jealous! One thing you might want to share with them, though, is that you recently got window film! If they’re like the guy in the picture above, he might even be less grumpy! It won’t work on everyone, but it’s worth a try!

We’re here for you

If you’re having trouble deciding what kind of window film you might want, give us a call! We’re super friendly, unlike the guy in the picture above. We work all over the greater San Francisco Bay Area, from San Jose to the East Bay to the Peninsula and Marin. Give us a call at 415.623.8700.

Ten Ways to Use the new Japandi Interior Style at Home

November 17, 2022 by Carol S Leave a Comment

Ten Ways to Use the new Japandi Interior Style at Home

By now, you’ve probably heard about the new Japandi Interior style, which combines two of the best styles–Japanese and Scandinavian. But did you realize that with just a little bit of planning, you could use Japandi style at home?

Canyon Ridge is a calming color that would work well with Japandi Style

Use calm, soothing colors

To really get the best out of Japandi Style, you need to choose colors that soothe. We enjoy talking about color, and if you don’t believe us, you might like this: Ten Best Colors of the year 2023. Of these colors, Canyon Ridge is very calming. Rustic Greige is another one that’s a warm neutral. Both would work with a Japandi interior style.

This beautiful Live Edge Teak Table (from Wayfair) would work well with Japandi Style

Natural wood furniture

Natural wood in soothing tones is best for the Japandi style. For instance, wood tables with live edges work well. For more ideas, here’s an article you might like: What is Japandi Style and How to Incorporate Into Your Home.

This 3M Fasara Washi (rice paper) window film is a staff favorite

Window Film and Japandi Interior Style

All the Obscure Opaque window films work with the Japandi Style. We also love the 3M Fasara Washi film which is the rice paper style. All of the new styles, even the darks & blacks could be Japandi. We’ve written about the dark window films and how to use them before. You might like dark and moody interior glass.

Upcycle and reuse what you have

Thrifting and reusing has become trendy lately. Why not join in? Go to your local thrift store (or shop in your own closet), but go with an open mind and see what you can find that’s Japandi style.

Use natural elements

Bring nature into your home by using a branch or flowers from the garden. Even during the colder months, there’s sure to be something you can bring inside.

Consider this beautiful Lamp from Etsy by Locaali

Lighting

Soft, soothing lighting is all the rage in Japandi circles. (It would have to be a quiet rage, though. More of a whisper rage.) The light fixture itself could be made from natural materials. Bamboo is great for Japandi style!

Simple linens and accessories

From bed linens to plants, all your accessories should be simple, functional, and calming. So that means saying no to pointy pointy leaves, but rather beautiful and healthy plants. Organic shapes are the best.

Consider framing a watercolor card. We love this one from Maricards on Etsy

Artwork

Don’t choose artwork that is jarring or friends say would “keep them awake.” Use the same soothing colors that you’d use for your walls and furniture. You could always find something you love on Etsy and have it framed!

Beautiful Japan Minimal Wallpaper from Happy Wall

Wallpaper

Scrolling around the interwebs, there are some terrific wallpapers that showcase the Japandi style. They’re peel and stick, so very easy to use!

Sustainability is key

Sustainability is the element that is woven through all the Japandi style examples we’ve seen.

Can Technology Save Billions of Birds with Window Film?

October 27, 2022 by Carol S Leave a Comment

Can Technology Save Billions of Birds with Window Film?

Did you know that many, many birds die each year from crashing into windows? According to Portland Audobon, up to one billion birds die each year from window strikes! Not only that, but “54-76 percent of window collisions are fatal.” What’s a bird lover to do? If you’d like to know, read on.

It’s that time of year

At this time of year, millions of birds are migrating. According to the National Audubon Society, birds migrate mostly during spring and fall. The National Audobon Society has a first-of-its-kind digital migration platform where you can see the path that migrating birds take. So even if you don’t get that window film up this fall, you could try installing it by spring.

How and why do birds fly into glass?

According to Collide Escape “Collisions are most commonly caused by the reflective characteristics of glass. Because the outside of glass reflects the environment around it, birds do not recognize it as a barrier.”  Even people have been known to walk into glass, so it’s not so strange that birds would see glass and assume there’s a clear flight path. Unfortunately, many birds are injured or die when they fly into glass.

Our Custom Bird Film, installed during construction

Why do birds suddenly appear?

If you’re a fan of the Carpenters, you already know the answer to this question! But on a more serious note, birds do seem to come careening out of nowhere at all times of the day, just to smash into your windows. Sometimes they’re looking for bugs, or they’re in a hurry to get to their nests. Other times, they seem to just be stretching their wings for the sheer joy of it.

Why should you care?

The loss of birds through window strikes is a huge loss to our biodiversity. The “canary in the coal mine” concept is one that relates to humans, too. Losing birds means losing some of ourselves, too. Not only that, but our own personal health is at risk. The North American Bird population is down some 2.9 billion birds, according to a study discussed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (quoting an article in Science).

What can you do?

Window technology can help reduce the numbers of bird strikes. According to Mongo Bay, window tech could save billions of birds, and it’s already here. For instance, bird safety window films “engineered specifically to allow birds to see reflective windows that otherwise appear invisible, preventing injury or death for the birds, as well as preventing potential damage to your property” according to Solyx, maker of Bird Safety WIndow Films. Scottish Window Film has an excellent article that outlines all you can do: Bird Strike Prevention. Check it out!
