This year the California Facilities Expo has two major changes. First, the Expo is all virtual! The benefit is that you can visit from the comfort of your own office with no commute! Second, this Expo combines both the Northern and Southern Expos into one Expo. So you can see even more exhibits in just one visit, and you could even wear your bathrobe while doing it (don’t say we told you that).
Why is the California Facilities Expo So Great?
We keep coming back to the California Facilities Expo because we love all the visitors as well as the exhibitors there! It’s a full day or two, but we meet so many people! Everyone is there to network, learn, and expand their businesses. Why would the online version be any different? Here’s our blog post from last year’s Expo: 2019 Northern California Facilities Expo.
One Event to Connect it All
Just like the one ring to rule it all, this event connects it all. For example, you can learn about why you should have an Emergency Preparedness Plan in a COVID-19 World. Another one that looks promising is Electric Vehicle Charging 101, which describes what you need to set up electric charging in commercial spaces. And if you’re looking to save money, how about opportunities to improve electrical energy efficiency in facilities through better measurement and technologies? After all, we all want to save money! And the session on Verifying That Your Buildings Have Good Indoor Air Quality? Perfect with this year’s pandemic and the wildfires in Northern California.
A Little History and More
Previously, the 2020 Northern California Facilities/Managing Green Buildings Expo and Conference, was held in Santa Clara. And the Expo has been held for 37 years (this is its 38th year!). The Facilities Expo offers unique regional events, which combine facilities engineering, MRO and green building focuses and cater to a diverse audience of facilities managers, maintenance managers, and energy managers.
The 2020 Facilities Expo is Virtual
But this year, it’s virtual! Two full days of exhibits and conferences are online and all for FREE. Whether you’re a facilities engineer, manager, or energy professional, you’ll find something interesting. In the past, we’ve met people from the commercial, industrial, government and institutional sectors. You can find classes, talk to professionals, and improve your skills at this expo. Not only that, but there will be free giveaways and prizes!
